Trading Up
Chris and I left for Mac just after 10 this morning. It was my intention to go the Community Center and speak with the City Manager about permissions for filming on the street and in the city park this coming Friday. It turns out the Community Center is closed on Mondays. So I’ll have to try tomorrow or Wednesday.
But while we were in town, we got to have lunch with Stevie at the Sage Restaurant. She’s an amazing treasure of wisdom and business savvy. She agreed to be one of our extras in Saturday’s filming (woohoo!), and she also shared the concept of using what you have currently (assets) to trade up toward your dreams.
I’m going to email Jerry now with addresses for the house and office locations. Then he’ll get that information to the AD who will generate a document listing scenes with address locations and shoot times, and respective call times for cast, crew, and extras.
Chris and I also stopped by Vortex and met Bruce, who is allowing us to use the house location. Vortex is a cool store. I’m going to spend some time and money there. I can already tell.
Watched Puss In Boots with Joshua and Manny this evening. Then over burritos at Muchas Gracias, we talked music and concept and listened to both versions of Sit For A While.
OK, here’s something I need for Friday and I’m having a hard time with it. A Dad playing with two kids in the park, kids between 6 and 10 years of age. Thought of Corey and his kids, or Matt and his kids, but they’re not available. Who do you know in Mac, Dad with two kids of ages between 6 and 10, who would look great on camera playing at the park?

So excited for you the project coming together like this finally!!!
yeah, things are coming together rather well!
Well I have 6 & 12yr. And I think my family is cute
your family is way cute. Are you volunteering Aaron and the kiddos to play in the park for this scene? Because I would love that!!
Wow!! That will be great Nidia!!!
Man! I will miss all this!!!
Yes they would love to!
That’s so awesome! We got a confirmation with Rob Porter for the same scene a little bit earlier, so he’s going to fill that role, but thank you so much for being all over this!!! You’re one of my co-workers, you referred the office location, and you came through on the dad and kids scene. Appreciate you very much!
