Short Film Music Video

Met with Jerry Monckton at Union Block in Mac yesterday. It’s time to make a music video. He did such a fabulous job with the video for “In The City!” So now it’s time to work on “Sit For A While.”

I showed him the two versions we have of the song, Man With Tribe and Man With Guitar. He chose Man With Guitar for the video. So that’s the one we’ll be working on. I love his concept–this isn’t going to be just a music video–it’s going to be a short film!

Shoot dates are December 2 and 3. We’d really like to do all of this in McMinnville. We’d also really like to get McMinnvillians to be part of the making of this video.

So here’s what we’re looking for, good people:

1. An office location, in Mcminnville. We’d shoot there on Saturday 12/3, so hopefully it’s an office that’s only used between Monday and Friday. The main character in our story is a salesman who works out of a cubicle, so a place with several cubicles next to each other would be ideal. If you know of such a place and can put us in touch with the person who has authority to let us use it for a video shoot, please let me know. Thank you muchly!

2. A house. Not just any house. This house, somewhere in Mac:

The idea is that in one of the scenes our character pulls into the driveway (after a long day at the office) and steps out of his car, and the camera looks over his shoulder through that big picture window and sees his family sitting at the dinner table. Have you seen this house? Do you know it’s owners? Do you think they’d let us use it for our video? I’ll make them tomato soup if they say yes!

We will also need about 15 people for some street scenes and I think I have a lead on a Dad playing with his kid in the park. If you want to be one of our extras, let me know. We’d appreciate your on-camera presence!

Come on Mcminnville, talk to me…

I totally love this short film music video idea. It’s great watching Jerry think all these things through. Thanks for letting me tag along.

I can already picture the film with the “Sit for a While” Man with Guitar version in it….very nice idea…

Ask the Beevers. I think their building would be perfect. Id also love to be an extra! Do you need their number? Their business number is 503-472-9055. They are travelling right now i think so you may have to email them. They are now working out of the old plan adoption building.
