One down…

One down…

Played 4 hours of music today at Johan Vineyards. I love playing that venue! Stacy even gets Dubliner cheese just cause I’m gonna be there. That might not be the entire reason, but it’s what she told me and I’m willing to believe that somewhere in the world people honor my  cheese preferences.

I’d forgotten how cold my hands get when I play semi-outdoors. I was sitting next to a heater, my legs were fine, but my hands were getting pretty un-cooperative, locking up and slowing down. I looked up as a group of four entered the warehouse. One of them, a young lady, made a beeline for the heater and just camped out there. It’s what I would have done (but for the part where I holding a guitar and singing to a mic). Eventually I did take a break and go over there, and that’s how I met Brieanna. She remembered me from playing at Johan last year’s Thanksgiving weekend and frankly, some days that’s all it takes to get a free Lennox T-shirt!  (I also thought she looked a little bit like Natalie Teeger from Monk)

After the gig, a quick one-hour rehearsal with the Tribe for tomorrow’s performance at Brooks Wines. Love playing there too. This time, one small change. The winery is so full with fermentation tanks that the Open House party is moved to the Winery Farmhouse, 21105 SE Cherry Blossom Lane, Amity OR 97101. It’s about 1/4 mile before the winery when you’re going up the hill. We’re playing from Noon to 5 tomorrow. Heather says it was packed today. Tomorrow is Civil War, and they’ll have the game on mute on a tv somewhere, so I expect there might be a little hooting and hollering going on when the game gets exciting.

So, of the two long performance days back to back, one is done and I’m ready for the next.

Thank you so very much to Dag and Dan and Stacy, for having me at Johan today. I had a great time.

Short Film Update: In the next couple days we’ll post a casting list for the extras needed on next weekend’s film shoot. Just a heads up that we’re also looking for Warehouse location in Mac–the one we were planning on fell through. A warehouse or a large empty garage. Maybe even a concrete basement would do the trick. Do you know the space we’re looking for?

Sounds like fun at Johan, go to go and visit there next time.

Some how, people are getting out there everywhere today, so Civil War at your concert is possible. Also although I didn’t watch any of the games, the football related hooting in between can be heard silently in FB from Ohio to Chiengmai, Thailand and bounced back to Silicon Valley, and Medford!!
