I have loved music all my life. I was 8 years old when I knew it would be a big part of who I am, but it took a friend shaking me by the shoulders at 27 and saying “this is not a hobby; this is who you are,” before I realized I would need to bring my music out of hiding. I’ve spent over a decade finding my craft and confidence, understanding who I am and how we are connected.
I write out of my life experience, much of which is the hope borne of faith in Jesus. I also write out of the pain and hurt that came from feeling rejected for most of my life. If you’ve been lost, rejected, abandoned, if you’ve found out or you need to find out that you’re actually chosen, maybe there’s something in this music for you.
I’m currently leading worship at several churches, as well as playing with a local band, The Humlie Trio, at wineries and coffeeshops across the Willamette Valley. I’ve produced one studio album, one live acoustic album, and now we’re in process on my third project, working with talented Oregon producers.
